California Olive Ranch Acquired by Cobram Estate Olives for $173.5 Million

Stoel Rives represented California Olive Ranch, a portfolio company of Solum Partners, in its sale to Cobram Estate Olives for $173.5 million, comprising $88.5 million in cash, $70 million in vendor notes and a $15 million earn-out payment.

California Olive Ranch was founded in 1998 and is the best-selling brand of extra virgin oil in the U.S. Cobram Estate Olives is an Australia-based global leader in sustainable olive farming with operations in the U.S. and Southern Hemisphere. The combination of the two firms is expected to create a global powerhouse in the production of extra virgin olive oil.
