About Karin
Karin Jones is a partner in the Labor and Employment group, providing practical advice to employers facing a wide variety of workplace and personnel issues and helping employers minimize the risk and impact of workplace problems. Karin assists employers in navigating challenging leave and accommodation issues, high-risk terminations, non-competition and confidentiality issues, workplace investigations, and wage and hour audits; develops and reviews employment policies; and provides employee and supervisor trainings regarding harassment, discrimination, leave law compliance, and other critical HR issues. Karin also advises employers on the significant workplace issues associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, including leave laws, ADA compliance, and workplace safety. When litigation arises, Karin represents employers before administrative agencies and the state and federal courts. Karin has experience representing employers in disputes involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, reasonable accommodation, family and medical leave, wage and hour claims, workplace safety (WISHA/OSHA), and whistleblower complaints, among other workplace issues. In addition to her trial court practice, Karin draws on her prior experience as a law clerk at the Ninth Circuit to successfully represent clients in appellate litigation.
