Overview
Emily Olsen is an associate in Stoel Rives’ Corporate practice group. She has experience handling a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, loan transactions, formations and reorganizations, corporate governance issues, private securities transactions, and other general corporate matters. Her practice spans a variety of industries, including agribusiness and renewable energy. In addition to domestic transactions, Emily also has experience handling a variety of cross-border transactional matters, including international acquisitions, corporate governance counseling, and formation matters.
Before joining Stoel Rives, Emily was an associate at an international law firm, where she gained experience across a broad spectrum of domestic and cross-border business matters and worked in both the corporate/M&A and real estate practice groups.

- Represented a Washington-based family-owned manufacturing and paint finishing business with operations spread throughout the United States in its sale to a private equity firm.
- Represented an HVAC and refrigeration wholesale distributor in miscellaneous business matters, including private securities offerings, corporate research projects, and acquisitions of local distribution companies spread throughout New York, New Jersey, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Mississippi, Nevada, and Arizona.
- Represented a receiver in a bankruptcy case involving over 900 entities as part of the corporate team.
- Represented a logistics, packaging, and freight forwarding company through miscellaneous domestic and cross-border matters, including cross-border M&A transactions, share transfers, entity formation, and general corporate governance matters.
- Represented a nonprofit organization in an acquisition involving 46 farms across eight states and over 41,000 acres of farmland.
- Represented a public real estate investment trust in the sale of two gas pipelines.
- Represented a fruit grower and producer in its acquisition of Washington facilities.
- Represented farmers and ranchers in the sale and exchange of 13 farmland parcels across California.
