Experienced attorneys join Stoel Rives’ Real Estate group and Environment, Land Use &
Natural Resources group in Portland office

PORTLAND, Ore. Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that experienced attorneys Andrew Solomon, Christopher Criglow, and Dana Krawczuk have joined the firm’s Portland office as partners in the real estate and land use groups, Christian Scott will be joining the real estate group as Counsel, and Laura Kerr has joined the environmental group as an associate.

“We are excited to welcome Chris, Dana, Andrew, Christian, and Laura to Stoel Rives,” said David Filippi, Office Co-Managing Partner of the Portland office. “Their practices mesh well with our existing real estate practice, and their expertise also will benefit our environmental, natural resources and land use practice and our construction and design practice. This is a great combination, and we are confident that this move will enhance our abilities to provide excellent service to our clients.”

A leader in Portland real estate law, Solomon focuses his practice on real estate and land development transactions and other special services including loan modifications, loan sales, and the management and disposition of REO assets. He has been recognized by Chambers USA as one of “America’s Leading Real Estate Lawyers” since 2009.

He has helped a wide range of clients successfully acquire and develop real estate holdings including the redevelopment of a historical building in Portland’s Pearl District, acquisition and project development of a liquefied natural gas facility, lease and management of regional malls and shopping centers, and leasing of office spaces, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers for businesses.

“I’m excited to work with my colleagues at Stoel Rives to grow the firm’s real estate practice in Portland,” said Solomon. “With my wide range of experience, I hope to further capitalize on the opportunities that Stoel Rives offers while providing effective and cost-efficient solutions to clients.”

Solomon holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. He holds a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School.

Criglow focuses his practice on real estate and business transactions in the areas of real estate development and investment, agribusiness, and timberland/forestry products. He handles matters related to leasing, purchases, sales, financing, and related general commercial contracts, including supply and distribution agreements. Since 2014, he also has been ranked as one of “America’s Leading Real Estate Lawyers” by Chambers USA.

Criglow holds a bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University and a law degree from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

With nearly 20 years of legal experience, Krawczuk has become one of the leading attorneys in Oregon for land use and real estate matters. Ranked by Chambers USA as one of “America’s Leading Real Estate Lawyers,” she represents residential, commercial, and industrial clients and uses her comprehensive land use experience to guide them through each phase of the land entitlement process. Joining Stoel Rives’ Environment, Land Use & Natural Resources (ELUNR) group, Krawczuk will collaborate with her colleagues in the Real Estate group and with the Portland office’s strong Construction and Design group frequently in her practice at the firm.

“Land use and real estate are truly local practices and Stoel Rives’ deep local roots and commitment to Portland and the Pacific Northwest region is vitally important to me and my clients,” said Krawczuk. “I look forward to continuing to offer my clients legal excellence, creativity, and efficiency as a partner at Stoel Rives.”

In addition to her law practice, Krawczuk regularly volunteers her time to the business community of Portland. Most recently, she served on the City of Portland Development Review Advisory Committee as the Frequent Development Review Representative and on the International Council of Shopping Centers as the Oregon Chapter Government Relations Committee Chair. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and classics from the University of Georgia and a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School.

Scott focuses his practice on representing developers, commercial landlords, tenants and home builders in a variety of real estate and business transactions. He brings his experience as in-house counsel at the largest home construction company in the United States to his private law practice. Scott has extensive experience drafting and negotiating land purchase agreements, draft easements, licenses and other matters regarding land acquisition and development.

“With my experience as in-house counsel, I provide a unique understanding of our client’s objectives,” said Scott. “I look forward to working with Stoel Rives’ real estate group to continue offering clients a legal strategy that helps them achieve the best results.”

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and a law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Recently named in Chamber’s USA as an “Associate to Watch” in “America’s Leading Environment & Natural Resources Lawyers,” Kerr focuses her practice on compliance and permitting issues under federal and state environmental law. She counsels her clients on the environmental risks associated with corporate and real estate transactions.

Kerr has experience in matters related to the Federal Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, CERCLA/Superfund and the Endangered Species Act, and National and State Environmental Policy Acts.

“I look forward to supporting my colleagues as we move forward with Stoel Rives,” said Kerr. “With my expertise, I will continue to provide trusted legal counsel to clients that provide effective solutions for environmental and land use matters.”

Kerr holds a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Law School.

All five attorneys are joining Stoel Rives from Perkins Coie’s Real Estate and Land Use practice group in Portland.
