Lightshift Energy and KeyBanc Capital Markets Close $75 Million Credit Facility to Finance Growing Fleet of Battery Projects
Stoel Rives acted as legal advisor to Lightshift Energy in closing a $75 million credit facility with KeyBanc Capital Markets, which Lightshift will use to support its expanding pipeline of energy storage projects across the East Coast. The facility, comprising a term loan, construction-to-term loan, and tax equity bridge loan, will finance six Lightshift projects that are currently in operation and allow 10 projects in or nearing construction to proceed.
Founded in 2019, Lightshift is a utility-scale energy storage project developer, owner, and operator that is developing energy storage projects nationwide with capacities up to 250 MW.
Miles Killingsworth and Michael Novak led the Stoel Rives deal team, which also included Jessica Bayles, Bo Harvey, Sylvia Koh, Erica Valli, and others.
