Defense Verdict Secured in High-Profile California Employment Trial

Stoel Rives' California Labor & Employment team secured a complete defense verdict on behalf of an agricultural cooperative in a high-profile employment case.

The plaintiff asserted claims under California's Fair Employment and Housing Act and Labor Code, including disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Following extensive pretrial litigation, significant motion practice, and a full jury trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the employer. Judgment was subsequently entered for the defense.
