Two Stoel Rives Attorneys Elected Fellows of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers

The U.S. law firm of Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys — Boise partner James C. Dale and Seattle partner James M. Shore — have been elected Fellows of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. The College considers election as a Fellow as the “highest recognition by ones’ colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence.” Installation of this year’s newly elected Fellows will be held on November 7, 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers was established in 1995 through an initiative of the Council of The Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association. It operates as a free standing organization recognizing those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field. The College is represented by more than thirteen hundred members in forty-five states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and eight provinces from Canada.

Jim Dale advises and represents some of Idaho's largest private employers with regard to virtually every aspect of labor and employment law. He has served as lead defense counsel on class and collective actions seeking recovery of unpaid wages, represented management in traditional labor disputes and provided counsel on union avoidance. Dale has been listed in Chambers USA: Guide to America's Leading Lawyers for Business and in Best Lawyers in America® for Labor & Employment from 2006 to 2015. He is the only Idaho-based attorney currently admitted to The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.

Jim Shore represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including issues with unions, wrongful termination, discrimination/harassment/retaliation, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, executive agreements, wage and hour law, business acquisitions and reorganizations and safety issues. He has represented employers in federal and state court litigation, labor arbitrations and before administrative agencies.
