Stoel Rives Renews Sponsorship of Portland Business Journal’s ‘How Oregon Works’ Series for 2021

Press Release

PORTLAND, Ore.Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that for the fourth year the firm is sponsoring the Portland Business Journal’s “How Oregon Works,” a year-long series that takes an in-depth look at the state’s current and future workforce challenges, trends and opportunities. For 2021, the series is revisiting the focus of its first year on Oregon’s most important industries. A special report on the “Remote Workforce” was published in February — featuring an article by labor & employment attorney Laura Rosenbaum — and future reports will cover:

  • Agriculture – April
  • Commercial Real Estate/Construction – May
  • Health Care – July
  • Energy – August
  • Manufacturing – November
  • Education – November

Portland office Co-Managing Partners Penny Serrurier and David Filippi said, “We received great feedback from clients, referral sources, attorneys and staff and believe sponsoring the series is an effective way of communicating our commitment to Oregon’s businesses.”

The PBJ is producing two signature events as part of the series. The first, on May 6, is a virtual panel event, which will include Filippi. The content will be transcribed and published in print in a special report on May 21, 2021. The second event, on a date to be determined, is a “Private Thought Leader Roundtable Event” for series sponsors, which will include Stoel Rives’ labor & employment attorney Todd Hanchett. Roundtable content will be published within the HOW digital section and with an upcoming HOW issue.
