Stoel Rives’ Attorney John Dudrey Joins Board of Organ Donation Nonprofit Donate Life Northwest
Portland, Ore. — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that attorney John B. Dudrey has joined the board of Donate Life Northwest, a private nonprofit whose goal is to save lives and improve health through the promotion of organ, eye and tissue donation.
Donate Life Northwest was formed in 1975 as Oregon Donor Program by local healthcare professionals who brought together organ, eye and tissue procurement agencies to collaborate in building the local pool of donors. At that time, Oregon Donor Program also successfully advocated for improved donation laws, developed educational programs and held awareness campaigns to enlist the help of organizations, clubs, faith groups and businesses.
The nonprofit changed its name to Donate Life Northwest in 2007, a year that saw it establish Oregon’s statewide Donor Registry and spearhead the adoption in the state of the federal Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act.
Dudrey is an Of Counsel attorney in Stoel Rives’ Labor and Employment group, where he focuses on assisting clients with complex labor and employment matters, with an emphasis on wage and hour compliance, general advice and counsel work, and representation of employers with unionized workforces.
In 2021, Dudrey was named to Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch rankings for labor and employment law and litigation. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon.
