Nicole Granquist Named Among Daily Journal’s 2026 ‘Top Women Lawyers’
SACRAMENTO, Calif.— Stoel Rives partner Nicole Granquist has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2026 “Top Women Lawyers” list, which honors distinguished women attorneys in California.
Among California’s leading environmental attorneys for matters involving water quality, Granquist has over 30 years of experience representing public and private sector clients in statewide water quality matters involving regulatory compliance under the federal Clean Water Act and California’s Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act.
A highly skilled litigator, Granquist regularly obtains favorable outcomes prosecuting administrative and judicial appeals of scientifically complex permits and enforcement orders in state court, defending clients in federal court when third-party citizen suits are filed pursuant to the Clean Water Act, and defending clients against administrative investigations and enforcement.
Granquist also holds leadership roles with influential organizations focused on water quality, serving as an Attorneys Committee member for California Association of Sanitation Agencies, and is a member of the California Stormwater Quality Association and CalCIMA’s Environment Committee. She also provides testimony, drafts comment letters, or negotiates legislation on behalf of a wide range of national and California trade organizations and professional advocacy groups.
