Idaho Business Review Honors Partner Krista McIntyre Among 2025 ‘Women of the Year’

BOISE, Idaho—Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that the Idaho Business Review recognized environmental partner Krista McIntyre among its 2025 “Women of the Year.” The IBR selected the award recipients based on their impact on Idaho’s economic and community well-being through their professional accomplishments, leadership, community service, and mentorship. McIntyre and 49 other honorees, selected from more than 160 nominees, will be celebrated at an awards event on September 11, 2025, at Boise Center West.

Among the most respected environmental attorneys in Idaho and throughout the Northwest, McIntyre has dedicated her 30-year career to best practices in environmental law with experience in both the public and private sectors. As head of Stoel Rives’s Environmental practice in Boise, she provides vital environmental compliance counsel and enforcement defense to businesses operating in many of the Intermountain Region’s most significant economic sectors, such as mining, forest products, agribusiness, energy production, chemical processing, and general manufacturing.

McIntyre is an influential leader at Stoel Rives who significantly shaped the growth and direction of the firm’s Environmental practice. She leads the firm’s Environmental Justice and sustainability practices and served as the firmwide Environment, Natural Resources & Land Use practice group leader from 2010 to 2019. She has also made a significant and valuable contribution to her profession through coaching and mentoring. In addition to providing formal and informal coaching and mentorship to rising attorneys at Stoel, she is a trusted advisor to professionals at various career stages in various legal and industry organizations in Idaho and nationwide.

Beyond her practice, McIntyre is also generous with her time in the community. Since 2019, she has served on the Board of Directors for Juno Arts d/b/a Boise Rock School, a youth empowerment program that offers music education to families and communities. She served on the Board of Directors for the Boise Public Schools Foundation from 2009 to 2019 and was its president in 2018.

McIntyre is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Environmental Lawyers. Since 2005, Chambers & Partners has ranked her among “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business” in Idaho for natural resources and environmental law. In 2023, Best Lawyers® named her Environmental Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Boise, and since 2001, the ranking agency has included her in its The Best Lawyers in America® guide.
