The Puget Sound Business Journal Quotes Tim O'Connell about Filings Concerning Boeing Union Election
Partner Tim O'Connell was quoted in the Puget Sound Business Journal in an article titled "Machinists Continue Filing Claims Against National Union over Boeing Vote." The article discusses whether filings against the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Tuesday might derail or delay Boeing's decision to assemble the 777X in Washington State.
O'Connell, a labor and employment attorney with the firm, believes it is a very low-risk threat. "The union has a lot of discretion about how to represent that local bargaining unit fairly," he noted, adding that it would be difficult "to come to the conclusion the union violated fair representation in how they structured this election."
