Matti Neustadt Storie is an associate in Stoel Rives' Technology & Intellectual Property practice group. Matti concentrates her practice on licensing and commercialization of intellectual property and technology, both through the internet and through traditional means of commerce. Particular areas of focus include development of IP under government contract, international marketing and distribution, IP portfolio management, and operations agreements.

  • Advising clients on protection of intellectual property relating to defense technology purchased under U.S. DoD procurement contract.
  • Advising clients developing clean energy solutions using grant money provided under the Recovery Act.
  • Drafting operational agreements, including supply, distribution, marketing, and OEM agreements relating to the operations of high tech manufacturing and sales.
  • Marketing material and ad copy review for software, hardware, and consumer goods, including drafting terms and conditions for multi-state promotional sweepstakes and contests.
  • Research and development agreements allowing clients to contract with evaluators and inventors while maintaining ownership of information gained in the relationship.
  • Sales terms and conditions for a variety of technical, non-technical, and consumer goods and services.
  • Advising clients on domestic and international brand strategy.

Prior Experiences

  • Materials engineer working on spare parts and capital equipment improvements for CVD, CMP, plasma etch, and lithography processes used in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Materials engineer developing supply chain quality and reliability in the field of printed circuit board substrates used in the assembly and test of CPUs.
  • Development of x-ray, CT scan, MRI, SEM and other imaging techniques for non-destructive testing of microelectronics.
