Experience

Laura Suesser is a senior associate practicing in the Real Estate, Development and Environment practice group and Renewable Energy Wind Initiative. She provides real estate, land use and development services to the real estate, wind energy, health care, and financial industries. Laura advises a wide range of clients in all aspects real estate development transactions including acquisitions, sales, land use entitlements, title and survey issues, commercial leasing, financing, and strategic corporate structuring.

Laura has extensive experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements; project development agreements including: annexation agreements, water agreements, wind energy real property agreements, subdivision and master plan development agreements, easements, licenses and covenants, conditions and restrictions, commercial office leases, ground leases, legal opinions, corporate organizational documents, and corporate transactional documents relating to the operation, transfer and sale of real estate assets.

Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Laura was an associate at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo P.C. and at Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld, LLP (1997-2002). She also served as a judicial intern in the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Term, Second Department (1996).

Representative Work

• Acted as counsel to health care institutions, renewable energy developers (wind), real estate developers, and various financial institutions, in property acquisition, development, financing, sale, leasing, construction, and operation of real estate projects.
• Represented one of the world's largest wind energy developers in the negotiation of real property right agreements, including leases, easements and development agreements.
