About Bill

Bill Rodgers is a paralegal and a Certified Professional Landman in our Real Estate and Environmental practice groups.  His skill sets include gathering and analyzing title information on private, state and federal lands, preparing drillsite title opinions in draft and acquiring land for development of natural resources.  Bill’s expertise also includes preparing draft deeds and other documents for real estate transactions, platting and analyzing metes‑and‑bounds legal descriptions with the use of survey software, reviewing purchase agreements and preliminary title reports, and preparing escrow instructions in draft for closings.  He has worked extensively on matters that concern mining, oil and gas as well as geothermal financing, solar and wind projects.  The value Bill brings to our clients in these matters is an understanding and appreciation of the fundamental importance of agency records in the resource area and an understanding of the industries generally.  In essence, Bill knows the business of our clients and the challenges they face in the acquisition, maintenance, use and development of their real property interest.  He can assist them in many cost-effective ways.

Prior to joining Stoel Rives in 1992, Bill was a field landman for ARCO and various independent oil companies.
