Multi-Family, Condominium and Residential Projects

  • Represented private developer in the sale of five apartment projects in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, totaling 872 apartments, for a total of $521 million.
  • Represented a Seattle developer in the $67 million acquisition of a 400-unit apartment building in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • Represented purchaser in acquisition of $55 million student housing facility in Tampa, Florida.
  • Represented a joint venture partner in $75 million sale of its partnership interests in a national affordable housing portfolio of more than 30 properties throughout the U.S.
  • Represented East Coast-based purchaser of $500 million affordable housing portfolio in the southeastern U. S.

Office, Hotel, Retail and Mixed-Use Projects

  • Represented a real estate investor and developer in the $802 million sale of two lakefront blocks in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood to a German investor. The sale price for the 635,000-square-foot property set a per-square-foot record for a Seattle office asset as of February 2022.
  • Represented a life science and technology real estate investment trust in the $126 million acquisition of a 1.6-acre parcel of land in Seattle, Washington to be developed into over 600,000 square feet of research and lab space.
  • Represented a life science and technology real estate investment trust in a $138 million acquisition of a 2.8-acre development site in Seattle, Washington.
  • Represented joint venture sellers in the $565 million sale of two mixed-use office buildings comprising a total of 541,487 square feet of office space in the Spring District in Bellevue, Washington.
  • Represented U.S. pension fund in the $359 million purchase of a 714,000-square-foot office building in Seattle, Washington.
  • Represented a private real estate investment company in the $77 million acquisition of a large shopping center in south Puget Sound.
  • Represented seller in the disposition a 315,000-square-foot office building for $244 million to a New York-based investment fund.
  • Represented a private developer in the acquisition of more than 270,000 square feet of land in Bellevue, Washington for more than $110 million.
  • Represented buyer in the $20 million acquisition and subsequent financing of a boutique hotel in California.
  • Represented option holder in connection with the sale to an institutional investor of an option to purchase an office building in Portland’s Pearl District.

Assisted Living and Medical Facilities

  • Represented a large nonprofit hospital system in connection with the sale of a ground lease interest in a multitenant medical office building in Oregon and the related restructuring of the underlying ground lease.
  • Represented a real estate investment firm in the sale of a 38-property portfolio of medical facilities in 25 states to multiple investment funds.
  • Represented seller in the $1 billion sale of a nationwide senior-housing portfolio to a real estate investment trust and its affiliates.
  • Represented buyer in purchase of three research and development office parks in San Jose, California totaling $205 million.

Industrial and Natural Energy Projects

  • Represented owner in connection with the sale of an approximately 250,000-square-foot light industrial park.
  • Represented owner in connection with the sale of an approximately 500,000-square-foot distribution facility to a REIT.
  • Represented developer of proposed liquefied natural gas facility in southern Oregon in connection with site acquisition and project development, including negotiating option agreements for purchase of facility location and lease of vessel slip.
