Renea Saade is a partner in the Labor and Employment group. She counsels clients on a broad range of employment issues including noncompetition/nonsolicitation enforcement and defense, wrongful termination, requests for accommodation, wage/hour compliance, workers' compensation, workplace investigations and discipline. Renea also assists clients in the development, revision and enforcement of employee handbooks and provides on-site employment law training (including training required by the EEOC or a local human rights agency pursuant to a settlement or conciliation agreement) on issues including prevention of harassment and discrimination, wage laws and performance reviews. She regularly represents employers in federal and state court proceedings, agency audits and investigations. In addition to assisting clients with their employment law needs, Renea also represents companies in insurance coverage disputes, contract disputes and unfair/deceptive business practices claims. In its 2014 annual survey of America's best attorneys for business, Chambers and Partners reported that sources are "very impressed with this up-and-comer."
Renea draws upon her skills and experience to keep companies informed on the latest employment and commercial law issues through her articles in Alaska Business Monthly and her frequent presentations to a variety of professional organizations. Renea is President of YWCA Alaska, a member of the Kohanic Broadcasting Board of Directors and provides pro bono assistance to a number of public broadcasting and social service non-profits. She is a Board member of the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers and a member of the Middle Eastern Legal Association of Washington, Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Seattle, Washington Defense Trial Lawyers Association and DRI.
Before joining Stoel Rives, Renea was a partner at Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker LLP, she was also an attorney for several years at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in Seattle and at Riemer & Braunstein LLP in Boston.
