Before joining Stoel Rives, Nathan was a law clerk (2017-2018) and summer associate (2016, 2017) with the firm, a computer programming intern with TTM Technologies (2014-2015), and a technician with Xytronix Research and Design, Inc. (2012-2014).

Nathan has experience in seeking patent protection for electronics hardware, computer software, wireless communication, and peripheral device inventions. He ensures that the patent applications that he drafts present an accurate, complete picture of an invention and its benefits. He keeps current with best practices in order to efficiently achieve client goals during the patent prosecution process at the USPTO.

In his spare time, Nathan enjoys creating semicustom electronics systems, with such projects including a weatherproof camera system for vehicle counting and a game-show presentation system. He is also an accomplished amateur pianist.
