Jenna Slocum is an associate in Stoel Rives’ Corporate group, where she focuses on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters. She has advised borrowers, arrangers, agents and lenders on complex syndicated finance transactions, provided high-level restructuring and insolvency analysis of project financing and derivatives transactions, and supervised corporate governance matters.

Before joining Stoel Rives, Jenna was an associate in the New York offices of Linklaters LLP (2016-2018) and Foley & Lardner LLP (2014-2016).

Corporate Bankruptcy and Restructuring

  • Advised a British multinational investment bank on bankruptcy law analysis of derivatives and other securities transactions with multiple foreign and domestic pension funds.
  • Advised an American multinational investment bank in connection with bankruptcy law analysis of a cross-border uranium financing transaction that involved the creation of an Irish SPV and a complex financing structure, with multiple levels of loan facilities, security agreements, spot purchase agreements, and forward sale agreements.
  • Represented the administrators in the UK insolvency proceeding of Lehman Brothers International (Europe) and other European Lehman Brothers entities.
  • Supervised local counsel in six jurisdictions in amending the organizational documents of fourteen corporations in connection with the insolvency and reorganization of a geophysical services group in the oil and gas industry. Reviewed and revised the amended articles of incorporation/association, bylaws, and deeds of amendment for compliance with restrictions on the issuance of non-voting equity securities.

Pro Bono Representation

  • Represented a Russian gay rights activist in his asylum application.
  • Volunteer legal service at JFK Airport to assist persons detained by Customs and Border Protection following the January 27, 2017 Executive Order barring entry to refugees and travelers from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
