About Gus

Gus Martinez is an associate in Stoel Rives’ Litigation group.

While in law school, Gus was a summer associate at Stoel Rives (2018), a judicial extern for the Honorable Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and a 1L diversity summer associate at Tonkon Torp LLP (2017). He was also a Legal Research and Writing Tutor for Professor Liz Frost (2018) and Professor Rebekah Hanley (2019). Prior to law school, he volunteered at the De Muniz Resource Center Legal Clinic.

Gus learned to stay calm and focused under pressure as a cast member at Walt Disney World and as a technical support advisor at Apple. The demands of litigation pale in comparison to the struggle of informing a parent — who just spent two hours waiting in line — that her child is too short to ride, or of explaining to a customer that his vacation photos cannot be recovered from a phone that spent an afternoon on the ocean floor.
