About Kate

Kate D’Ambrosio is an attorney in the Energy Development group. She represents renewable energy asset owners, developers and corporate buyers in project finance and corporate renewable transactions.

Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Kate was an associate with Bracewell LLP in Washington, D.C., where she also served as a summer associate. While in law school, Kate worked as a law clerk for the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and as a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, Civil Division.

Experience

  • Representation of Enel Green Power North America, Inc., as sponsor, in multiple tax equity financings, including:
    • The approximately $365 million financing of its 300 MW Rock Creek wind project in Missouri.
    • The approximately $340 million financing of its 300 MW Red Dirt wind project in Oklahoma.
    • The approximately $330 million financing of its 297.8 MW Thunder Ranch wind project in Oklahoma.
    • The investment by JPM Capital Corporation, Merrill Lynch, and Wells Fargo in the combined 400 MW Cimarron Bend I and II wind projects in Oklahoma.
    • The investment by Special Situations Investing Group II, LLC, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs & Co., in the 150 MW Lindahl wind project in North Dakota.
  • Representation of renewable energy developers and marketers in successful negotiations of executed long-term power purchase and sales agreements for purchase or sale of energy, capacity, ancillary services and environmental attributes from wind and solar facilities with a range of utility counterparties.
  • Representation of major solar developer in negotiation of agreements for behind-the-meter energy sales transactions for on-site solar with universities.
  • Representation of corporate buyers and developers in connection with green energy tariff transactions.
  • Advised developers in assessing and responding to utility requests for offers regarding purchase and sales agreements.
