Overview
Julia Sera is an Oregon Certified Paralegal in Stoel Rives’ Real Estate group. Julia works with attorneys, staff, and clients to coordinate commercial real estate and finance matters, including purchase and sale transactions, and most prominently, affordable housing projects that leverage Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, tax-exempt bond financing, state and local funding, and equity investment.
Julia further assists with drafting of conveyance documents and recording of real estate documents and related real estate and transfer tax forms, drafting and filing of organizational documents in various states, and reviewing of real estate records to prepare execution versions of renewable energy leases and memoranda. She coordinates closing transactions, including the preparation of closing documents and due diligence review and analysis, and assists clients in maintaining efficient working relationships throughout the closing process. Julia has worked with numerous governmental agencies and financial institutions, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, State Housing Authorities, community-based nonprofit organizations, and various investment and lending institutions.
Before joining the Stoel Rives Real Estate group, Julia gathered a decade of experience in trusts and estates as a trust funding paralegal, proactively handling asset transfers to align clients’ closely held business interests and commercial and residential real estate holdings with individual multigenerational estate and tax planning.
