About J.B.

J.B. Evans is an associate in the bankruptcy section of Stoel Rives’ Corporate group. J.B. focuses on a wide range of credit finance and bankruptcy practice that includes the representation of borrowers in revolving credit, structured financing, and securitization transactions. He assists clients in workout agreements, loan enforcement, and bankruptcy proceedings. J.B. also supports the firm’s opinion practice, with an emphasis on opinions relevant to the bankruptcy context.

Before joining Stoel Rives, J.B. was a term law clerk for the Honorable Joseph M. Meier of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Idaho (2018–2019). Earlier in his career, he was a technical expert/operations supervisor for the Social Security Administration (2001–2018). During 2019, J.B. helped prepare students for law school and the bar exam as an adjunct professor at the Concordia University School of Law.

J.B. is a native Idahoan and enjoys golfing, running, trivia, and spending time outdoors with his family. In January 2019, J.B. was a contestant on Jeopardy.
