About Conor

Conor Butkus is an associate in Stoel Rives’ Environment, Land Use & Natural Resources group.

Before joining Stoel Rives, Conor was a law clerk with the Washington Court of Appeals, Division 2 (2020–2022); a law clerk with Samuels Yoelin Kantor (2019); and externed for Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (2019) and for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (2018).

Before law school, Conor worked at an agribusiness nonprofit in Chicago, where he helped entrepreneurs scale up their food businesses and expand their markets. This work developed his dual passions—environmental law and working with clients to grow their businesses. Out of the office, Conor is an avid outdoorsman and spends time hiking, backpacking, and skiing in the Pacific Northwest.
