REGULATORY UPDATE FOR NOVEMBER 2 (COVERING WEEK OF OCTOBER 26)

Our energy regulatory team has compiled a list of state and federal energy regulatory developments to keep you up to speed on key energy regulatory matters from across the United States. Stoel’s energy regulatory team is always available to answer questions about any of these developments.

OREGON PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION

The OPUC issued an order this week revising the timeline in which project managers developing community solar projects must subscribe the project with the minimum amount of low-income residential customers. 

WASHINGTON UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION

Puget Sound Energy has withdrawn its application to the WUTC for approval of the sale of its 25% ownership interest in Colstrip Unit 4 to NorthWestern Energy and Talen Montana, LLC.

FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION

FERC held a technical conference on integrating offshore wind in the RTO/ISO markets on October 27th. Key takeaways from the panelists are included in our update.
