Portland partner Chris Hermann was quoted in The Oregonian in an article titled "Gold rush reshapes Oregon wine country as outside capital discovers pinot noir." The article published on November 27, discusses the unprecedented surge of land purchases, winery acquisitions, and cross-border investment that has taken hold of Oregon's commercial wine industry.

Hermann, founder of the Stoel Rives Wine Law practice, has handled a number of recent transactions involving the purchase and sale of Oregon winery and vineyard properties, and predicted the surge of foreign and domestic investment from California, France, Washington, and elsewhere would accelerate. "The pace of transactions has picked up dramatically this year," he noted. "It's like watching the stock market right now."
