Seth Hilton Quoted on California Efforts to Ease Siting of Solar, Wind Projects

In a new article, Seth Hilton gives Utility Dive his take on the benefits of legislation passed recently in California that establishes a new certification process for solar, wind and other non-fossil fuel power plants larger than 50 MW, as well as creating a strategic electricity reliability reserve fund.

Energy development partner Hilton said that he thinks the new certification framework, which also applies to energy storage systems that can store more than 200 MWh of electricity, “potentially provides a centralized process that could be more expedited to allow improvements to the siting process for clean energy projects.”
