Stoel Rives Labor and Employment attorney Chris Kitchel recently discussed her thoughts on how the 19th Amendment affected women in the legal profession in a Briefly Legal article.

Kitchel says one of the most significant outcomes of the amendment was "that women started to gain and exercise economic power." Last year she spent time working with women in Africa who were victims of gender aggression and domestic violence. She says she "thought a lot about this issue and about how quickly change for American women happened during my generation."
