Client Spotlight: Sunpin Solar Begins Construction of 98 MW Titan Solar 1 Project in Calif.

Stoel Rives congratulates firm client Sunpin Solar on commencing construction on its 98 MW Titan Solar 1 Energy Project. Located in Ocotillo Wells, Calif., on a 569-acre parcel, the project will annually generate more than 218,000 MWh, enough to power approximately 27,000 homes, and is expected to begin operation in late 2020. Cost of the project was undisclosed.  

Irvine, Calif.-based Sunpin Solar is a leading solar energy development and investment company that acquires, develops and finances utility-scale solar projects in the U.S. and internationally. The Titan Solar 1 project is its second in California following successful development of the 96.75 MW ColGreen North Shore Project in 2018.

The Stoel Rives deal team provided assistance in matters related to land acquisition, development, permitting and land use. The team was led by Morten Lund and included attorneys Melanie Clark, Viet Nguyen and Allison Smith.
