We congratulate the Saint Paul Port Authority on its award from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) of a $701,405 redevelopment grant. The Port Authority will use the grant for geotechnical soil correction, demolition, stormwater management features, and public infrastructure improvements as part of its redevelopment of the former Hillcrest Golf Course in Saint Paul.

A Stoel Rives’ team comprising environmental analyst Steven Heurung and attorney Kevin Johnson assisted the Port Authority in completing its application for the grant.

The grant is one of five made in August by DEED, for a total of $2,131,262, through its Redevelopment Grant Program, which helps communities with the costs of redeveloping blighted industrial, residential, or commercial sites and putting the land back into productive use.
