Stoel Rives congratulates its client Jeld-Wen, Inc. on the sale of its Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, ID, to a buyer located in the Seattle area. The multi-season regional destination ski and summer resort is located on approximately 1,600 acres of land, and the mountain includes a 3.2 mile gondola, 73 ski trails, an on-mountain lodge and seven lifts. The purchase price was confidential at the time of sale.

Charlotte-based window and door manufacturer Jeld-Wen entered the resort business in the 1980s and purchased Silver Mountain Resort in 1996, later expanding its operations in the area to include nearby condos and apartments, a golf course and a waterpark. The company placed the portfolio of holdings up for sale in 2010 in order to focus on its core window and door businesses.

The Stoel Rives deal team, which provided real estate, corporate, environmental, and land use law assistance in facilitating the transaction, was led by Quentin Knipe and Kris Ormseth and also included Krista McIntyre, Rich Hall and paralegal Theresa Howe.
