Stoel Rives LLP congratulates its client, national developer Ryan Companies, on the successful groundbreaking for its new redevelopment project in the heart of Kirkland, Washington. Founded in 1938, Ryan is a national developer, capital investment consultant, builder and real estate manager of properties and projects across the United States.
The project, Kirkland Urban, is a multi-phase, mixed-use project including residential, retail, a large grocery store and office components. Kirkland Urban is designed around the idea of an “18-hour city,” providing the feeling of a metropolitan center, with work, recreation, and living space. Anchor tenants include the tech companies, Wave and Tableau. The project broke ground on Sept. 28, 2016, and phase one is scheduled for completion in 2018.
Stoel Rives attorneys represented Ryan Companies in the acquisition phase of the project, including design and construction contracts, joint venture agreements, development and infrastructure agreements and construction financing.
