China Puts US Wind Industry on Hold

In a January article in Recharge, a renewable energy publication based in Norway, Stoel Rives attorney Ed Einowski discussed the role of China in the U.S. wind industry. The article states that expectations that involvement by Chinese manufacturers, investors and developers that could give the industry a boost have been dampened by the current state of the U.S. economy.

Einowski suggests that factors such as political uncertainty and limited opportunities have lead some Chinese manufacturers, developers and investors to put their plans on hold. They are reassessing the market and adjusting plans to help position themselves for the next boom-bust cycle of U.S. wind development.
