Abstract

Monica Browner, Associate in Environmental Litigation & Compliance at Stoel Rives, highlights the firm’s culture of curiosity and cross-practice collaboration. With a focus on site contamination, hazardous materials, and air quality, she shares how informal conversations across practice and industry groups help attorneys stay connected and engaged with each other’s work. My name is Monica Browner and I’m an attorney here at Stoel Rives. I’ve been practicing law for about six years now and I focus on site contamination work, hazardous materials regulations, and air quality.

One thing that I really have found that I’ve enjoyed about this firm is that people and attorneys that I’m working with are very curious about each other’s work. We often meet in different practice groups and industry groups at lunch and talk about what we’re working on and I just find that that’s a really great way to get to know your colleagues and I do feel like other people and other partners in particular are taking interest in the work that I do and it makes me feel valued as an associate.
