Speaking Engagement

Please join Stoel Rives LLP attorneys Barbara Craig, Per Ramfjord and Sarah Stauffer Curtiss on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 10 a.m. PT for an update and discussion on the revised final regulations for permits for the incidental take of bald and golden eagles.

On December 14, 2016, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) announced a final rule revising the regulations for permits for incidental take of eagles under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. The Service analyzed various alternative management options and rule revisions, including the final rule revisions, in a programmatic environmental impact statement under the National Environmental Policy Act. The final rule addresses criteria for permit issuance, compensatory mitigation requirements, permit duration, and data standards for submitting permit applications. The rule goes into effect on January 17, 2017. In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the new rule and discuss:

  • The current regulatory environment
  • Key questions related to implementation
