Corey Day And Bryan Hawkins Recognized by Davis, Calif., Chamber of Commerce

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that Sacramento litigation associate Corey Day and labor & employment partner ​Bryan Hawkins have been recognized by the Davis Chamber of Commerce as its ​​2021 “Director of the Year” and “Member of the Year,” respectively. Day and Hawkins and the other 2021 Chamber Awards recipients were honored at a gala held on February 18, 2022, at UC Davis ARC Ballroom.

Award recipients were chosen from nominations made by members of the Davis Chamber and the community.

Davis Chamber Director of Events & Marketing Holly Claus said: “All have shown dedication to the Chamber, their business or organization and the community! We are excited to honor these recipients at the Installation Gala … honoring the Chamber’s 2022 Board of Directors; Incoming Chair, Steve Willhoff; and the Community Awards – Citizen of the Year and A.G. Brinley Recipients.”

The Davis Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to “promote, support, and advocate the general economic vitality of its membership and the quality of life for the community.” It does so by helping to create a strong local economy, promoting the community, providing networking opportunities, and representing the interests of business within the government.

Day is an attorney in Stoel Rives’ Litigation group whose practice encompasses business disputes and alcoholic beverage matters. He has also defended clients in labor & employment matters related to wrongful termination, misclassification, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage & hour. Day received his law degree and undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis.

Hawkins is a litigator who practices in Stoel Rives’ Labor and Employment group, where he represents employers in employment-related litigation in court and before various administrative agencies. His practice also involves counseling employers on employment-related issues, including handbooks and policies, and on labor issues, such as advising employers on how to effectively respond to union organizing campaigns, negotiate collective bargaining agreements, and manage the employer/union relationship. Hawkins received his law degree from the University of California, Davis.
