U.S. News – Best Lawyers® names Stoel Rives among top law firms nationwide
in its 2022 “Best Law Firms” edition
PORTLAND, Ore. — In the 2022 U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” survey, Stoel Rives earned 30 national rankings and a further 115 rankings in nine metropolitan areas where the firm has offices.
The firm was ranked in National Tier 1 for its practices in Appellate Law, Environmental Law, Land Use & Zoning Law, Litigation-Construction, Litigation-Environmental, Natural Resources Law and Real Estate Law. The firm also was ranked nationally in Tier 2 in 11 practice areas and in Tier 3 for 12 practice areas. Overall, nine of Stoel Rives’ offices earned 80 metropolitan Tier 1, 28 metropolitan Tier 2 and seven metropolitan Tier 3 rankings.
The “Best Law Firms” survey ranks practice areas by tier for more than 15,000 law firms across the U.S. Firms are evaluated using a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer reviews from leading attorneys in their fields, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of a formal submission process.
To be eligible for a “Best Law Firm” ranking in a practice area, a firm must have at least one lawyer included in The Best Lawyers in America® for that area. In the 2022 edition, 175 Stoel Rives attorneys were named among “Best Lawyers” or “Ones to Watch,” of which 13 were named “Lawyer of the Year” in their respective practice and metro areas.
