Retired Partner Terrence R. Pancoast Receives Age+ 2020 Ageless Award

PORTLAND, Ore. Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that retired partner Terrence R. Pancoast has been selected by AGE+ as a recipient of its 2020 Ageless Award. Pancoast and the other honorees will be celebrated at a luncheon April 23 in Portland.

The annual Ageless Award recognizes individuals who are 75 years or older, demonstrate the importance of living a purposeful life and continue to make significant contributions to society as volunteers, philanthropists, mentors and civic leaders. Notable past recipients of the award include former Oregon Governors Barbara Roberts and Ted Kulongoski, Senator Margaret Carter, Bob’s Red Mill founder Bob Moore, Columbia Sportswear president and board chair Gert Boyle and other distinguished community leaders.

“We are so proud of Terry and thrilled to see his name added to the illustrious list of winners for this award.” said Portland Co-Office Managing Partner Penny Serrurier. “Terry continues to make significant contributions to our firm and to the nonprofit community. He has been an amazing thought leader and mentor for so many – both inside and outside of the firm.”

AGE+ is a not-for-profit organization that was founded to promote successful and equitable aging for all Oregonians. AGE+ focuses on assisting isolated and underserved older adults in rural areas by helping communities develop a multigenerational, sustainable network of resources to support them.

Before his retirement at the end of 2019, Pancoast practiced in the areas of estate planning, tax-exempt organizations, trusts, and family and closely held businesses. His clients included high-net-worth individuals and families, grant-making foundations, colleges and other operating charities, trustees of trusts, and various business entities. Pancoast is a current member of the Whitman College Planned Giving Advisory Council and President’s Advisory Board, a co-trustee of the Rose E. Tucker Charitable Trust, and a trustee for the Herbert A. Templeton Foundation. He is a past member of numerous other professional and civic organizations.
