Lateral hiring of Bethany Kelsch continues expansion of Stoel Rives’ top-rated, full-service real estate practice

SEATTLE Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that real estate attorney Bethany Kelsch has joined the firm in its Seattle office. Her hiring continues an ongoing expansion that bolsters the firm’s ability to provide sophisticated legal advice and superior value to clients with a variety of legal needs related to real estate, construction, and land use.

“We are proud to welcome Bethany to our Seattle office,” said Vanessa Soriano Power, Managing Partner of Stoel Rives’ Seattle office. “With our recent focus on the Seattle real estate team, we have been able to create a truly full-service team, and her addition enhances the value that we offer to clients.”

Kelsch focuses her practice on counseling private owners and developers on various real estate and real property matters. She assists her clients through the lifecycle of real estate purchases and sale transactions with an emphasis in title due diligence and resolution of easement and boundary matters. Kelsch also advises in landlord-tenant disputes and drafts and negotiates commercial leases. Her clients also include homeowner associations seeking counsel on association governance.

“I look forward to supporting my real estate and land use colleagues at Stoel Rives,” said Kelsch. “Our full-service approach offers efficient and effective legal solutions to our regional and national clients.”

She started her legal career in a commercial real estate management and brokerage company where she learned both the business and legal sides of the real estate trade. This unique perspective has allowed Kelsch to understand the importance of preserving her clients’ industry relationships and to troubleshoot practical solutions to the issues her clients face.

Active in the Seattle community, Kelsch is a volunteer attorney with the King County Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinics and a volunteer resident attorney with The BLOCK Project, a subsidiary of the local nonprofit Facing Homelessness. Kelsch also co-founded the King County Juvenile Detention Reentry Program, My Action Plan (MAP). Before joining Stoel Rives, Kelsch was an attorney at Carson & Noel PLLC and director of operations and house counsel for AGM, Inc. Commercial Real Estate. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from Seattle University.
