Am Law 200 law firm will provide wellness programs to lawyers and staff.
PORTLAND, Ore. – Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that it has committed to the American Bar Association’s Well-Being Pledge. Launched by the ABA Working Group to Advance Well-Being in the Legal Profession, the campaign provides a framework to address the legal profession’s high rates of mental health and substance abuse issues.

In support of the ABA Well-Being Pledge, Stoel Rives has several programs designed to promote the well-being of its lawyers and staff. Among them is the Extended Leave Support Program, which allows for support and resources that lawyers need before, during, and after a leave to ensure a successful transition. This program is designed for lawyers to work holistically with practice group leadership to create a plan to continue delivering valuable work to the firm’s clients during a lawyer’s extended leave, while also ensuring the lawyer on leave is able to integrate back into practice seamlessly.
Earlier in 2019, Stoel Rives also launched a firm-wide paid leave program for all staff members in its 10 offices across seven states and Washington, D.C. The program generally provides up to 18 weeks of paid time off for parental leave, or in the case of a serious health condition affecting an employee or an employee’s family member.
