National Asian Pacific American Bar Association recognizes Alex Oh for leadership in the Asian Pacific American legal community

Seattle, Wash. Stoel Rives is proud to announce that the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) has honored partner Alex Oh with its Best Lawyers Under 40 Award. The honor recognizes talented individuals in the Asian Pacific American legal community who are under the age of 40, have achieved distinction in their fields, and have demonstrated a strong commitment to Asian Pacific civic or community affairs.

“Alex’s dedication to our clients, community, and firm, along with his exceptional professionalism, set him apart,” Stoel Rives firm managing partner James E. Torgerson said. “We congratulate Alex on receiving this honor, and we are proud to call him our partner.”

With all of his clients, he employs his strong background in neurobiology, medicine, and health along with his legal skills to best serve his clients in intellectual property law and patent prosecution and litigation. Dedicated to his pro bono work, Oh also works to eliminate gender-based discrimination and to advocate for the rights of women.

The 2018 National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Convention, which will include the presentation of the Best Lawyers Under 40 Award, will take place from Nov. 8 to 11 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.

Along with this honor, Oh also has been named one of the Top 40 Young Lawyers by the American Bar Association and one of the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 by the National LGBT Bar Association. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, he went on to earn his master’s degree in biotechnology from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He received his law degree from University of Wisconsin Law School and is admitted to the Washington and Wisconsin Bars as well as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Canadian Patent Office.
