Event series will encourage discussion, education and networking in the agribusiness, forestry and food and beverage industries
PORTLAND, Ore. – Stoel Rives is pleased to announce that it has launched new industry events to promote discussion, education, and networking in the timber/forest products, agribusiness, and food and beverage industries. The “Timber Tuesday Happy Hour” and the “SpeakEasy: Beverage Industry Happy Hour & Discussion” will be held again in the last quarter of 2018.
The Stoel Rives Forest Industries Team hosted two Timber Tuesday Happy Hours in the first half of 2018. Welcoming clients and other attendees involved in the timber and forest products industry, the laid-back atmosphere offered the chance to network with peers and connect attendees with others in the industry. The next Timber Tuesday event will be held at Plank Town Brewing Company in Springfield, Oregon, on October 30.
Organized by the Stoel Rives Beverage Team, the inaugural SpeakEasy: Beverage Industry Happy Hour & Discussion took place June 19, 2018. Participants had the opportunity to discuss topics of interest and listen to a short tax presentation by attorneys Kevin Pearson and Dustin Swanson from the firm’s tax team.
A second Speakeasy event occurred on September 24 at Stoel Rives’ Portland office. The beverage alcohol industry continues to offer opportunity due to increasing demand and shifting consumer preferences. The Stoel Rives Beverage Team will continue to offer industry insight with future events focusing on trademark issues, labor and employment issues, and corporate issues.
