Portland litigator honored as individual ‘able to stand out in the sea of legal services providers
to represent the cream of the crop’

PORTLAND, Ore. Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that Jeremy Sacks, a partner in the firm’s Litigation group in its Portland office, has been named a 2018 BTI Client Service All-Star by The BTI Consulting Group, the leading provider of strategic research to the legal community. Sacks previously was selected as a BTI Client Service All-Star in 2014 and 2016.

In its 17th year of publication, the BTI Client Service All-Stars 2018 includes 328 attorneys nationwide, who were nominated independently by corporate counsel for delivering unsurpassed client service. To create the list, BTI conducted a series of in-depth telephone interviews with legal decision makers such as general counsel, chief legal officers and their direct reports.

Sacks was one of only three Portland, Oregon, attorneys recognized.  He was nominated by a large risk manager for recognition for his exceptional client focus, evident in six common characteristics shared by the attorneys singled out by clients as an all-star: (1) putting his clients and their needs and goals first, (2) providing a superior experience in every interaction his clients have with him, (3) exceeding the expectations his clients have of his legal skills, (4) providing an unmatched understanding of his clients’ business objectives and competitive pressures, (5) providing outstanding value and service, and (6) providing unique, creative solutions to drive a competitive advantage for his clients.

Chair of the Portland office trial group and of the of the firm's Energy Litigation Initiative, Sacks focuses his practice on complex litigation in a variety of businesses, including the automotive retail, energy and health care industries.  He has experience litigating business torts, contract disputes, securities fraud, False Claims Act issues, shareholder disputes, class actions, licensing disputes and antitrust claims.  He also has substantial experience conducting internal corporate investigations and handling export and import matters.
