Join Stoel Rives attorney Colm Nelson at the WSBA Construction Law Section Annual CLE – Construction Doctrines: Is There a Doctrine in the House? on June 7, 2019, in Seattle. Nelson will present “Severin and Independent Duty Doctrine Update.”

This year’s seminar will cover doctrines with special construction contracting applications, including the Spearin Doctrine, design-build concepts and implied warranties, Severin Doctrine, Independent Duty, Spoliation and mitigation of damages, and federal contracts. In addition, the Judicial Panel will include both appellate and superior court jurists, who will address discovery issues and Burnett factors, including rulings on various hypothetical act patterns. Finally, annual case law and legislative updates will be provided, as well as a one-hour ethics discussion.
