The California courts and legislature were at it again in 2018, making key changes that will have a significant impact on California employers in 2019 and beyond. The new year will see many changes for employers, including:

  • A new standard for classifying workers as independent contractors;
  • Expansion of employers’ anti-harassment training obligations;
  • Limitations on non-disclosure provisions in settlement agreements; and
  • Extension of the statute of limitations for bringing sexual harassment lawsuits.

Please join Stoel Rives attorneys Vida Thomas and Bryan Hawkins to learn about the new court decisions and legislation for 2019, what these changes mean for your business, and what you should expect in the year ahead.
