CCPA is here ... yes, yes, we know already.[1] But did you know other states are considering similar legislation? No wonder Microsoft just announced that it’s going to extend the CCPA’s core rights “to all our customers in the U.S.”
On February 11, 2020, join Romaine Marshall for Solutions and Strategies by Stoel Rives to discuss a legal landscape trying to keep up with an elusive threatscape. Solutions is designed to benefit company HR, IT and legal departments; and C-suite executives, but all are welcome.
Part One – Privacy:
- Solutions for compliance with the CCPA and other privacy laws that are coming, including “CCPA 2.0.”
Part Two – Cybersecurity:
- Strategies for achieving “reasonable security,” as required under the CCPA.
- Guest contributor: Matt Sorensen, former CISO and now Counsel at Formidify.
A short Q&A session will be held at the conclusion of this event and a one-page summary will be available as a takeaway. CLE credit for lawyers is pending approval.
Solutions will continue on March 11 and April 8 to cover the expanding definitions of “personal information” and “sale,” data mapping solutions, incident management strategies, and the impact of such emerging technologies as AI and IoT to privacy and cybersecurity laws.
