David Benson Named a 2012 Pivotal Leader in Cleantech

SEATTLE- Stoel Rives LLP, a U.S. law firm, is pleased to announce that partner David Benson has been named a 2012 Pivotal Leader in Cleantech. The Pivotal Leaders Program was established in 2010 by venture capital firm Pivotal Investment. The program honors Pacific Northwest executives and individuals for demonstrated leadership in the cleantech industry. Selections are crowd-sourced in an online peer review process.

Benson has served in a variety of cleantech policy roles, including as a member of the Washington State Energy Strategy Advisory Committee and a member of Governor Gregoire's Washington Clean Energy Leadership Council. His business law practice is focused on debt and equity financings, merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures and other strategic alliances, including structuring and advising on international transactions. He also advises companies on commercializing and financing clean energy technology, including energy storage, smart grid and energy efficiency technologies.
