PORTLAND - Stoel Rives partner Greg Macpherson was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives from District 38 in November 2002 and was sworn in on January 13, 2003. Macpherson serves in the 2003 regular legislative session that is expected to adjourn in summer 2003. He has been appointed to two committees for the 2003 session: the Judiciary Committee and a new committee focused entirely on the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).

Macpherson concentrates his law practice in the field of employee benefits, working with health plans and retirement plans. He advises employers and employee trusts on the design and operation of benefit plans for workers in public agencies and a variety of industries. Macpherson has extensive experience with IRAs and other programs for the investment of retirement funds. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the last several editions of The Best Lawyers in America.
