Stoel Rives LLP, a U.S. business law firm, is proud to announce that it received a perfect score of 100 on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and the distinction of being one of the "Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality."
The CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality and is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Stoel Rives is among 81 law firms nationwide to achieve the 100 percent ranking, which evaluates policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
"I'm proud to work at a firm that is committed to providing equal and fair opportunities for all employees and backing that up with clear and consistent firm policies," said Michelle Rudd, Chair of Stoel Rives' Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
The Human Rights Campaign, founded in 1980, seeks to improve the lives of LGBT Americans by advocating for equal rights and benefits in the workplace, ensuring families are treated equally under the law and increasing public support among all Americans through innovative advocacy, education and outreach programs.
