U.S. Senate Adds One-Year Treasury Grant Extension to Tax Bill
12/15/2010

Summary:

Stoel Rives attorney Greg Jenner discussed in Recharge Magazine negotiations in the U.S. Senate over tax cut extensions. In a final compromise bill, the Senate proposed to include a one-year extension of the "beginning construction" requirement for the Section 1603 renewable energy grant program to December 31, 2011.

Jenner said the Senate compromise reflected negotiations within the Senate and between the Senate and the White House. He cautioned it did not reflect a deal with the U.S. House of Representatives.
